Congratulations to our 2nd class pupils who made their Holy Communion on Saturday May 26th. They all had a wonderful day!

Open Evening and Science Exhibition

We had a very successful Open Evening and Science Exhibition on March 15th.  Children and adults enjoyed a fun filled evening.  Well done to all involved!

Discover Primary Science and Maths Award.

Congratulations to all our pupils on receiving our 13th Discover Primary Science Award. We will be receiving our plaque in the next few weeks.


Mary from An Ríocht worked with our children for a six week programme, helping them to improve their fitness levels by using the “beep test”.  She recorded children’s fitness levels at the beginning of the programme and following  the training.  All the children really enjoyed and benefited from the programme.


Junior Entrepreneur Programme                      

Pupils in 5th and 6th classes took part in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme this year.  By taking part they have built confidence, learned about teamwork, creativity, problem solving, business skills and communication. Their project ‘Eggcellent  Mugs’  was a great success. The children put great effort and hard work into their project. It was highly praised by the J.E.P. National Co-ordinator. They are all now looking forward to their J.E.P. outing which will take place in the coming weeks.


Confirmation 2018

Congratulations to our pupils in 6th class who made their confirmation on 21st March in St. Brendan’s Church, Ballymacelligott.

Golf lessons are now complete.  All the children really enjoyed  the lessons!

Green Flag 

Yes, we have achieved our fourth Green Flag!  The theme was travel.  The children took part in surveys, walkability audits, cycling workshops, poster competition, project – “Transport around the World”, map work and WOW – “Walk on Wednesday”.  Our action day was March 9th, when we presented our complete project to Fiona, the Green School’s Travel Officer. We would like to thank Fiona for all her help and advice over the two years. Mrs. Murphy, Niamh, Lauren and Christopher travelled to Cork to represent our school at the Awards Ceremony on the 3rd of May. Well done everybody!!!!


Musician in Residence

At present the children are enjoying music workshops with Ian, our musician in residence.They are composing their own songs and playing instruments. Looking forward to the grand performance on graduation and open day.

Graduation 2018

Graduation Day will take place on the 15th of June with mass, followed by refreshments and entertainment. Our sixth class are getting more and more excited by the day
