What’s happening in Clogher NS!

Our 2nd class pupils are working hard preparing for their First Holy Communion which will take place on Saturday, May 26th at 10.30am.

Open Evening and Science Exhibition

We had a very successful Open Evening and Science Exhibition on March 15th.  Children and adults enjoyed a fun filled evening.  Well done to all involved!

Mary from An Ríocht is working with our children for a six week programme, helping them to improve their fitness levels by using the “beep test”.  She recorded children’s fitness levels and the beginning of the programme and following training will record and compare their fitness levels at the end of the programme.

Pupils in 5th and 6th classes are taking part in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme this year.  By taking part they are building confidence, learning about teamwork, creativity, problem solving, business skills and communication.  We will let you know how the programme progresses as we go!


Confirmation 2018


Pupils in 6th class are getting ready for their confirmation on 1st March.  They will take the pledge or Saturday 10th February at the 7:30pm mass in St. Brendan’s Church Ballymacelligott.


Golf lessons will commence on March 12th for five weeks.  All the children are looking forward to the lessons!


Green Flag Action Day

We are working towards our fourth Green Flag!  the theme is travel.  The children have taken part in surveys. walkability audits, cycling workshops, poster competition, project – “Transport around the World”, map work and WOW – “Walk on Wednesday”.  Our action day is March 9th, when we present our complete project to Fiona, the Green School’s Travel Officer.

 


We are applying for our 13th Award of Excellence in Science!


Maggie’s drama workshops have now commenced on Fridays!
